Igor Asanov is the post-doctoral researcher at the Economic Policy, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship group at the University of Kassel, Germany. He received his doctoral degree at the at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena at the group DFG “Economics of Innovative Change”. He provides lab, lab-in-field, and field experiments (including RCTs) to tackle issues that range from entrepreneurial training to policies towards academic spin-offs.
He conducts RCTs and lab-in-field experiments to study which entrepreneurial training boost entrepreneurial activity (SME). And field experiments in labour market to study discrimination against entrepreneurs. He studies if entrepreneurship and a science-oriented online course in schools increase the numbers the number of opportunity-driven entrepreneurs and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics careers.
