The grammar and logic of knowledge recombination: Experimental evidence from interdisciplinary teams working on novel internet­-of­-things design

Little is known about how the knowledge composition of teams in interdisciplinary projects affects innovation outcomes or the success of ideation processes. This project sought to conduct a randomised controlled trial to understand how interdisciplinary teams can be assembled to generate novel outcomes, in the context of a Design Challenge process for internet-of-things applications.
