Project
Science and Innovation Funding
Published
Duration:
This research agenda spans several activities of work at IGL, including work with our governmental partners, external collaborators. The main goal is to demonstrate how experimentations can improve the way science and innovation funders allocate money, with a particular focus on efficiency (cutting down burdensome application and review process), fairness (ensuring all types of innovators and ideas get a fair chance to be funded) and effectiveness (maximising the impact of the funding). Recent examples include our handbook for experimental funders jointly produced with the Research on Research Institute, our pilot experiments with the Challenge Prize Centre, and ongoing experiments with our partners.
