Inclusive Innovation

This book, published as part of the Routledge Studies in Innovation, Organizations and Technology series, builds on previous research conducted by Nesta. It contends that the practice of inclusive innovation – innovation motivated by environmental and social aims – is able to uplift the benefits of innovation while reducing its harms. The book’s understanding of inclusive innovation is that marginalised or underrepresented innovators should be empowered to include themselves by solving a problem that they are experiencing. The book features stories and case studies of inclusive innovation happening at different levels of action, with a focus on South East Asia.
