Benchmarking IP Management Clinics for SMEs

The Innovation Growth Lab (IGL) has partnered with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to develop recommendations on how IP for Business Division (IPBD) department could improve and scale up the current Intellectual Property Management Clinic for SMEs Program (IPMC) programme for the benefit of its member countries. The project assesses key features of different national IP management clinics to understand how they work, analyse key features, and identify best practices.

Drawing on our expertise and previous experience in benchmarking studies, IGL is developing a methodology to identify key comparison dimensions, collect relevant data and analyse results in collaboration with multiple IP offices worldwide. The effort will culminate in a report showcasing the different models and key features of IP support for SMEs.
