What we do

We make policy more experimental and data-driven through partnering with and connecting policymakers, practitioners, researchers and funders to address key policy challenges.

In order to advance our mission, we undertake different types of activities:

Help institutions become experimental

by supporting our partners to build cultures of experimentation and engage in evidence-based decision-making, from ideation to design and implementation

Drive experimental research

by conducting and supporting pilots and randomised controlled trials to develop and test ideas and help decide when it is necessary to adapt, scale or move on

Use data science & innovation mapping

by creating and using new data sources, methods, and visualisation tools to inform current and future policy

Analyse and influence policy

by researching and assessing relevant policy trends, and advocating for a more experimental approach to policymaking

Convene learning communities

by making connections and designing interventions to support exchange of lessons and best practices between policymakers, researchers, practitioners and funders

Evidence to action

by collating, analysing and sharing policy ideas and evidence with partners and policymakers
