Florian is a Professor of Organizational Economics at LMU Munich. He served as Head of Department from 2019-2022 and since then became Dean of Faculty and Strategy. He served as director of the Munich Graduate School of Economics (MGSE) from 2013-2019.
Prior to his current appointment, he held chairs in Organizational Economics at the Universities of Konstanz and Würzburg, an assistant professor position at LMU Munich, a PostDoc Position at Harvard (joint appointment Economics Department and HBS), a PostDoc Position at University College London (ELSE) and has spent terms as a visiting scholar at the Stanford GSB and the Kellogg School of Management.
His research interests are in Organizational Economics, Industrial Organization, Contract Theory, Behavioral Economics, and Political Economics.
