Nicholas is a PhD candidate at the Berkeley Haas School of Business. His research explores the societal and economic impacts generative artificial intelligence using large-scale field experiments. He is especially interested in understanding how this technology can support underserved people, places, and firms.
His dissertation was selected as the runner-up in the INFORMS/Organization Science Best Dissertation Proposal Competition (2024). It also won the Wharton People Analytics White Paper Competition (2024), placed second in the SMS Annual Best Conference Paper Competition (2024), and received a Best Paper Prize at the Academy of Management (2024).
