Misha Teplitskiy is an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan School of Information, where I direct the DiscoveryLab. He is a sociologist interested in the drivers of scientific and technological innovation, and especially the role that policy and technology can play in accelerating scientific discovery. His current research investigates 1) the role of evaluation/selection methods in innovation, and 2) how knowledge diffuses between scientists in-person and online.
