Miguel Almunia is Professor of Economics at CUNEF Universidad. He is currently a Ramón y Cajal Fellow and a Research Affiliate at CEPR, IFS, IGC and J-PAL Europe. His main field of research is empirical public finance, with a focus on the impact of public policies on the behavior of households and firms. His research has been published in top economics journals such as the American Economic Review, Journal of Economic Perspectives and the Review of Economics and Statistics, among others. He obtained his PhD in Economics from UC Berkeley in 2013.
