Markus Taussig specializes in field experiments relating to business and society in Southeast Asia, where he lived for nearly two decades—including a dozen years in Vietnam doing firm surveys, operational audits, and business planning for international development organizations. Markus publishes in management, economics, and political science journals and has won best paper awards from the Academy of Management and the Community for Responsible Research in Business and Management. He has received fellowships, including two Fulbrights, and large grants for impact evaluations in Vietnam and Myanmar from the World Bank, MIT’s Jameel Poverty Action Lab, EGAP, and private foundations.
