Lucía Gorjón

Researcher at ISEAK, Lucía Gorjón is an expert in impact evaluation of social and economic policies. Her main fields of research are labor market, gender and poverty.

She holds a PhD Cum Laude in Economics from the University of the Basque Country/EHU.

At ISEAK she carries out research and project coordination tasks in collaboration with public institutions and regional, national and European entities, as well as with third sector organizations. In particular, she has evaluated the impact of different public policies aimed at groups at risk, highlighting minimum income, active employment policies, training programs for young people, the Roma population and gender gaps.

Previously, Lucía has been a researcher at FEDEA and a guest researcher at the German Development Institute (DIE) in collaboration with the World Bank.

Moreover, she is the author of numerous articles published in high impact academic journals and has taught policy evaluation at the Universities of Deusto, UPV/EHU and Barcelona. In 2019 she was named one of 29 Spaniards under 35 called to revolutionize technology, finance and politics by Business Insider. In 2024 she has participated as the youngest person on the jury of the Jaume I Economics Awards.
