Andrea Coali

Andrea Coali currently serves as the Chief Research Scientist of Cerved Group (Italy). He is also a research fellow at the ION Management Science Lab at SDA Bocconi, and a lecturer at Bocconi University.

He received a PhD in Business Administration & Management in June 2023, an MSc in Economics in December 2017 from Bocconi University, and a BSc in International Studies from the University of Trento.

In his academic research, he studies how entrepreneurs and innovators make decisions under uncertainty, focusing on their cognitive perceptions. In his dissertation, he proposed novel theoretical arguments for the channels through which a theory-based approach to decision-making improves decision outcomes, providing new empirical evidence from three field experiments conducted with entrepreneurs in both developed and developing countries.
