Utz Weitzel

Utz Weitzel is Professor of Finance at the Utrecht University School of Economics and the Radboud University Nijmegen. His research topics include experimental and behavioral finance/economics, corporate finance, and decision making under uncertainty; published in, amongst others, Games and Economic Behavior, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organisation, Journal of Economic Psychology, and Journal of Theoretical Biology.

After his school education in Namibia, he studied Economics and Business Administration in Germany (Universities of Augsburg and Bonn) and in Great Britain (University of Reading). He obtained a PhD from the Humboldt-University Berlin and was a post-doc at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, Evanston (Chicago). Before his appointment in Nijmegen, he was affiliated with Utrecht University and the Max Planck Institute of Economics in Jena.
